In this online course we will explore the magic of the Elder Futhark runes through the dreamtime. We will engage in dream incubation with four of the runes during every iteration of the course, gathering and synthesizing the wisdom of the individual and community dreams, and interacting creatively and intuitively with the results. From the experience participants can create unique sets of rune poems or other forms of artistic expression that can be used as personal oracular interfaces. In dreaming the runes we expand and deepen our relationships with these ancient energies and allow them to show us more of who they are through the symbols and content of our dreams.

Participants will be able to continue dreaming the runes in subsequent iterations of the course, on their own, or in dream groups. Which runes will be engaged in subsequent class iterations will depend on whether participants are new or returning. New participants are welcome for each iteration as the process will be taught each time.

Participants will be given access to prerecorded lectures about the runes: “Written Magic and Enchanted Objects” from the Language, Myth, and Magic course, and “Introduction to the Runes” from the Gather at the Well: Foundations course.

Schedule: All group meetings are from 10:00am – 12:30pm PST. The dream incubation night is on the Thursday before each community dream meeting and is not a group meeting.
